David is the Founder and Managing Partner of Maya Capital. He has over 15 years of real estate investment experience. David was previously Head of the Real Estate practice at Helios Capital, a London-based family office and, prior to that, a senior member of the investment team at Moor Park Capital Partners. He has an extensive track record in real estate, having been involved in more than £2bn transactions since the start of his career, both in equity and debt positions.
David holds an MA from HEC Lausanne, HEC Paris, and La Sorbonne University. He speaks French and English and is a Swiss and French citizen.
Jared is responsible for sourcing and acquiring new assets in the UK and Europe. He has over 15 years of real estate experience, having previously worked for both Thor Equities and Pears Global, where he was responsible for sourcing acquisitions, financing and asset management. Jared has been involved in real estate transactions in excess of £2bn.
Originally born in New Zealand and now a UK resident, Jared studied at Lincoln University in Christchurch where he received a B.A. in Property.
Prior to joining Maya, João worked as a site manager for international construction projects and a project manager in the tech and construction sectors. Most recently, he worked for HipoGes Iberia as a senior adviser and team coordinator in their real estate department.
He holds a master's degree in Civil Engineering from FEUP, as well as a post graduate degree in Management and Leadership from AESE and an executive master’s in Management, with a specialization in digital innovation, from CLSBE.
He speaks Portuguese, English and Spanish, and is a Portuguese citizen.
Charles has over 25 years of experience in real estate markets globally. From 2010 to 2015, he was global Chief Investment Officer for Allianz Real Estate. As chairman of the Investment Committee he guided the firm’s acquisition teams, investing in excess of €10 billion of equity into property assets, as well as having direct responsibility for all indirect real estate investments, research and strategy. Prior to Allianz, Charles was Chief Executive Officer of Aareal Asset Management GmbH, where he set up European real estate funds for institutional investors and invested €2 billion into office, retail, logistics and residential property across Europe. For the first 12 years of his career, Charles worked in Real Estate Investment Banking, becoming Managing Director and head of European advisory REIB at Bankers Trust in 1998. He started his career at Morgan Stanley in 1990.
Charles holds a M.A. (Honours) in Economics and Economic History from the University of Edinburgh. He speaks Dutch, English, French and German and is a British citizen.
Fredrik has over 20 years of experience in the real estate industry. Before setting up his own advisory company, Diem Capital Advisors Ltd, in 2017, Fredrik was a Managing Director at EQT Advisory Partners UK LLP, helping EQT to identify a team to manage its first real estate fund and subsequently to raise €420m for a debut, pan-European opportunistic fund. He also served on the Investment Committee of EQT’s real estate fund. Prior to joining EQT, he was a Managing Director and Partner of Greenhill & Co, a US investment bank, where Fredrik was responsible for the Private Capital Advisory Group in Europe, based in London. Activities included advisory work for clients in buyout, infrastructure, credit and real estate asset classes, such as EQT Partners, Balfour Beatty, Cerberus and Schroders. Before that, Fredrik spent 10 years at Credit Suisse as Global Co-Head of The Real Estate Private Fund Group, a market leader in offering strategic capital formation advice to clients such as Blackstone, ECE, KKR, Frogmore and Rockpoint.
Fredrik holds a BA from Stockholm School of Economics and a MBA from INSEAD. He speaks Swedish, English, German and French and is a Swedish citizen.
Shemeel has over 28 years of experience in real estate markets globally. From 2006 to present, he was a Founder Partner and is Chief Executive Officer of Moor Park Capital Partners llp. In his role at Moor Park, he oversaw all acquisitions and dispositions and was a member of the Investment Committee where c. €5 billion was invested across office, logistics, retail, hotel and healthcare assets in Europe and the UK. Prior to his time at Moor Park, he was a developer of prime residential properties in London for a period of 6 years and was also a non-executive director at Northacre Plc (a residential developer). . For the first 6 years of his career in real estate and finance, Shemeel worked in the Real Estate Investment Banking team at Bankers Trust in London where he was a Vice President.
Shemeel holds a MBA (finance specialisation, City University Business School) and MSc in Systems Analysis and Design (City University Business School). He is a British citizen.
Richard Croft is Executive Chairman of M7 Real Estate, a leading pan-European real estate investment manager. M7 has over 230 employees in 15 countries & territories across Europe, The Middle East & Asia and currently manages over 600 assets with a value of circa €5.8 billion.
Richard is responsible for the strategic direction of the company, capital raising and leads the real estate fund management function. In this capacity he sits on the GP board and investment committees of all M7’s funds in addition to numerous other M7 JV boards.
Prior to founding M7 Real Estate in April 2009, Richard founded Halverton REIM LLP (subsequently GPT Halverton), a European real estate fund management business which was sold to The GPT Group (an Australian listed property trust) in July 2007. At the time of the sale, the company employed circa 180 people across 10 European offices and managed over €2 billion of assets. Richard remained as CEO of GPT Halverton until 2009.
Before his time at Halverton, Richard was International Investment Director of The IO Group Ltd, Property Fund Management PLC (now Cromwell), responsible for setting up their international infrastructure.
Richard has been involved in over €15 billion of transactions across the UK and Europe during his 30+ years of real estate experience.
In addition to his duties at M7, Richard is a Non-Executive Director of IPSX (the International Property Securities Exchange) and sits on the board of The Red Cat Pub Company, The Pinnacle Group and The Chicken Shed Theatre Trust.
He is regular speaker at conferences covering real estate and economic topics.
Michael has over 15 years of real estate and private equity transaction experience across Europe, having worked as a principal investor, financial adviser and accountant. Since 2006, Michael has focused solely on the real estate sector. He previously set up and ran Pluto Capital’s (now Pluto Finance) German real estate investment business. He started his career with PwC where he qualified as a chartered accountant.
Michael holds a BSc in Physics from the University of Bristol, a MSc in Building Surveying from Kingston University and a MBA from INSEAD. He speaks German, English and French and is a German and British citizen.
Prior to joining Maya Capital, Charles completed internships at several companies in the real estate and financial industries, including Grosvenor Britain & Ireland, Close Brothers Asset Management, Mason Owen and EFG Harris Allday.
Charles hold an MSc in Real Estate from the University of Reading and a BA in History from the University of Oxford. He is a British citizen.
Prior to joining Maya, Mariana worked as an asset manager at Norfin, focused on residential projects and most recently, she worked for Finsolutia, S.A as a portfolio manager.
Mariana holds a master’s degree in civil engineering from the Instituto Superior Técnico. She speaks Portuguese, English and Spanish and is a Portuguese citizen.
Prior to joining Maya Capital, Ben worked as a civil and infrastructure engineer at Meinhardt (UK) Ltd where he was responsible for delivering the civil design works for development projects across the UK. Ben has experience working on developments from pre-planning through to construction stages.
Ben holds an MEng in Civil Engineering from Durham University and an MSc in Real Estate Finance from the University of Reading. He is a British citizen.
Before joining Maya Capital, Kirill had real estate related entrepreneurship experience and completed internships at CBRE Infrastructure Retail Department and DOM.RF Securitization Department.
Kirill holds an MSc in Finance from London School of Economics and a BSc in Economics with a concentration in Banking and Finance from ICEF at the Higher School of Economics in Moscow. His research topics included liquidity analysis of MBS in the US and the cost of financial distress in REITs. Kirill speaks Russian and English and is a Russian citizen.
Léa Zenouda is a highly educated professional with a background in Economics, Finance, and Management. She holds a bachelor's degree from Queen Mary University and the University of California Santa Barbara. Additionally, she earned an MSc in Real Estate Economics and Investment Analysis from UCL. Léa is fluent in both French and English and holds French nationality
